The saga of the breakdown double is nearly over, I cut the boat into four pieces back in January and began the slow process of putting it all together again into (hopefully) a usable kayak.
The initial thin bulkheads laid up on a piece of glass.
Just one of the six bulkheads glassed in, each bulkhead is now about 8mm thick.
Each section is bolted together with 10 x 8mm bolts and nylock nuts with 40mm alu washers to spread the load.
All bolted together and in one piece for the first time for about 3 months. Still a lot of work to do to fit it out but thank goodness the stressful stage is over.
