Giro Tasmania

Over the weekend of 30 Jan - 2 Feb Lynne and I supported the Giro Tasmania endurance ride. From Hobart to Hobart around the State anti-clockwise, a hilly 1000km all within 75hours.

Seven riders started, six finished. Here they are at the start on Friday evening at Muirs down on the waterfront. One of them had not attempted a ride of such a length before and two (on the right) have completed dozens of similar rides between them.

Dawn on the first morning lovely low light over the granite headlands and sandy beaches of the east coast.

Lynne and I all set up and waiting for the riders at the junction of the Cradle Link Road and Murchison Hwy, this is about the 600km point for the riders.

Peter and Leigh, the old hands who cruised the ride and finished looking as fresh as when they had started.

Another finisher, Mark, a few hours after Peter and Leigh.
